Every Thread & Temper piece is individually handcrafted using carefully selected natural leather. Small variations in colour, grain and markings are part of the material's character, ensuring every tote is uniquely yours. With use, the leather will soften, deepen in colour and develop a rich patina that tells its own story.

The Heritage Belt is handcrafted from rich pull-up leather, chosen for its depth, variation and the character it develops with use. Each bend and movement shifts the oils within the leather, creating lighter tones and markings unique to the person wearing it.
Finished with substantial antique brass hardware and distinctive double keepers, Heritage has an intentionally rugged, time-worn feel from day one.
The edges are hand-bevelled, burnished with Tokonole and finished with beeswax, allowing the natural warmth of the leather to remain visible rather than hiding it beneath a coated edge.
Finished with the Thread & Temper maker's mark at the tip.

Thread & Temper began with a love of beautiful materials, useful things, and the satisfaction of making something properly.
Every piece is made by hand in Adelaide, in small batches or one at a time. I work predominantly with leather chosen for its character — the kind that develops marks, patina and a story of its own with use.
I believe beautiful things shouldn't need to be precious. They should be carried, worn, scuffed, softened and made yours.
